What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a psychological approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind. During a session, you remain in control while the hypnotist helps you explore and address specific concerns.
What is Mindscaping?
Mindscaping, discovered by Mike Mandel, is a tool for experiencing, designing and redesigning the inner landscapes of your unconscious mind. It is a process of accessing your deep unconscious mind in a way that can provide profound personal insight and change at a core level.
Mindscaping is achieved by first guiding the client into a light meditative state and then helping them to visualize the map of their unconscious mind where change can occur. The practitioner then guides the client through any changes that need to take place to achieve the desired result.
Because of the creative and imaginative nature of this therapy, even the darkest and heaviest of issues can be dealt with in a safe, relaxing and even a fun manner.
FAQ’s About Hypnosis
What can hypnosis be used for?
Just about anything. My sessions are geared for helping with anxiety, feeling stuck, resolving sexual challenges, resolving relationship challenges, and personal transformation.
Do sessions happen in person over Zoom?
Both! Most session happen over Zoom, but as I travel across North America for speaking engagements, I am available to conduct in person sessions.
What does a hypnotherapy session feel like? What will I feel?
“For me, I felt very safe, extremely relaxed, and after coming out of trance, I felt secure in changes I experienced”.
What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind. During a session, you remain in control while the hypnotherapist helps you explore and address specific concerns.
What will I remember?
Most people remember everything. You’ll be awake. You just won’t care as much about outside distractions while in a trance.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs and the nature of the concern. Some clients experience positive changes after just one session, while others may benefit from more sessions.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept or file insurance or third-party claims. Insurance companies generally categorize hypnosis as an alternative therapy, which often results in them not covering the costs. However, you may submit the invoice receipts to your provider and inquire if they offer any coverage. This does not guarantee that your sessions will be covered, so it is essential to verify this directly with your insurance provider.
What happens in our first session?
We’ll discuss what hypnotherapy is and isn’t, set clear goals, and talk about different trance styles. Once you’re comfortable, we’ll start some trance work. Afterward, we’ll talk about your experience, such as which senses worked best for you, which part of the process was easiest, and how it felt.
Do you record the sessions and send them to me?
All sessions, including your initial consultation, are recorded for you. You will be provided that recording for your review and information. You can also use that recording for ‘on your own time’ self hypnosis sessions!
Will I divulge secrets or be under your control?
Absolutely not. Hollywood myths have created a different picture of hypnosis than what it really is. You can’t get stuck in trance, you won’t do anything morally objectionable to yourself, and I can’t ‘make you’ do anything.
